Getting paid

How it works

SNRR pays a match payment for every match you're appointed to and referee. Referee coaches and mentors (Match Official Developers) are also paid for the matches they coach or mentor, where a report is completed.

Payment rates are set each season and are confirmed at the season launch. For the current schedule of rates, ask the Treasurer.

Set yourself up to be paid

1. Register for the season. You need to be a registered SNRR member with current accreditation before you can be appointed and paid.
2. Keep Rugby Xplorer current. Your appointments — the record of what you refereed — flow through Rugby Xplorer ↗. If your profile or contact details are out of date, things go missing.
3. Make sure SNRR has your bank details. Payments are made by bank transfer. If you've never given us your details, or they've changed, contact the Treasurer — don't send bank details in a public form.
4. Under 18? Bank details usually need to be a parent or guardian's account. Same process — just let us know.

The education-night bonus

Attend at least three SNRR education nights across the season and a bonus is added to your end-of-year payment. It's a good deal for a couple of hours on a weeknight — see education for dates.

Something missing?

If a match payment hasn't come through, the usual causes are: the appointment wasn't recorded against you in Rugby Xplorer, your bank details aren't on file, or the match was reallocated on the day and not updated.

Email the Treasurer with the date, venue and teams and it'll get sorted. If it's an appointments-record problem, the appointments page has the right contact.
